The case made of oak with the trunk door having lovely shell inlay and nice shaped top with locking Door and key The trunk with half turned corners finished off in mahogany a nice feature. The hood with nice turned mahogany columns with turned brass, the hood door with swan neck top and brass finial.
The plinth has nice inlay panels to each corner, The clock standing 93.5 inches high including the finial with a width of 20 inches at the widest part. The movement has recently had a clean and oiled with new gut lines, and the case been restored to bring it back to it's former glory and all good working order and ready to display in the home, and requires no further restoration.
The arch rolling moon dial with (Michael) M Johnson Barnard Castle painted on the dial seconds and calendar dials is nice complete with nice brass period hands.
