8-day antique longcase grandfather clocks. Green & Palethorpe Grantham 8 day long case clock, contained in an oak case with mahogany inlay and cross banding, swan neck to hood with reeded columns, with 8 day movement, striking on a bell, The movement in nice clean condition and has been cleaned and oiled with new gut lines the case been restored to bring it back to it's former glory and ready to display in the home, and requires no further restoration, with a 12" arch convex dial this is a bit unusual and is in good condition the clock standing approx 88" high inc brass finial x 19. 5 wide at its widest point. William Palethorpe recorded in Gratham in 1824 to 1836.
Several clockmaker with the name Green working in Grantham at that time but does not appear to be recorded as working together with Palethorpe Complete with 2 weights pendulum and winding crank key.
