An Eight-day Grandfather clock by William Goode of Chester made approx 1830. The superb moon dial measures 14" x 20".
The impressive high quality case of Oak and Mahogany with Ebony and Boxwood stringing was made by the famous furniture makers Gillows of Lancaster and is in extremely good condition, measuring 95" high (inc finial) x 23" wide x 10 deep. The clock has the original hand made glass in the hood door. The fully working eight-day movement strikes the hours on a bell. The clock is all complete and working having been completely restored, the dial, movement and case are all original to one another.
The winding key, door key, weights and pendulum are all included. A very low starting price for this majestic grandfather clock, which will make an elegant statement in a large room.
