Antique Grandfather Clock by James Dawes of Whitehaven 8-Day, Restored & Working

This is a Handsome Victorian 8-day clock which has been restored and repolished to a high standard. The movement is solid and has been restored. It keeps excellent time, and rings to a bell on the hour. The 14.5 dial has a white face with Arabic numerals.

It has a working date wheel and lunar wheel. The painted spandrels are of children depicting the four seasons. The hood is mahogany with crossbanding. It has a swan neck pediment with central brass finial. Beneath the pediment is attractive patterning.

There are fluted wooden columns. The trunk is mahogany with crossbanding, the door having a working lock and key. H = 95.5" (242cm) W = 23" (58cm) D = 10 (25.5cm).
