This is a lovely example of an early single-hand 30-hour clock by a listed clock maker. The matted brass dial is lightly. Etched and has a silvered chapter ring and working calendar. The movement is in good condition with the only sign of minor restoration being to the crutch.
The clock keeps good time. The hood and case are in dark oak and are carved to front and sides in the 16th century style. The hood has barley twist pillars and the trunk sides have reeded columns. The trunk door has a working lock with key. There has been minor restoration to the base. This is a beautifully proportioned and characterful clock.
