Lovely looking clock circa 1780 eight day longcase clock which strikes each hour on a bell. The case made of oak with the trunk door having lovely nice shaped top with mahogany banding around with locking Door and key The long trunk with fluted pillar corners a nice feature. The hood with nice turned fluted columns finished off with brass capitals the hood door again finished off in mahogany and 3 brass finials with a nice shaped top the base plinth with mahogany banding and canted corners another nice feature. The clock standing 84 inches high plus the finial with a width of 22 inches at the widest part. The movement has recently had a clean oiled and new gut lines fitted.

The case been restored to bring it back to its former glory all in all good working order and ready to display in the home, and requires no further restoration. The fantastic 13 inch square dial with silvered chapter ring seconds dial and engraved, with the name Jas (James) Whittworth Lussley on it, together with nice period hands. The Axe head moon Completes the dial with 2 weights pendulum and winding crank key. All in all a lovely period Longcase clock which would grace any home.
