Antique Oak 8 Day Grandfather Clock / Longcase Clock

Here we have a lovely antique Oak Grandfather/ Longcase Clock. This lovely antique grandfather clock has an oak case with a lovely shaped pediment to the top. It this has two reeded columns which terminate in brass capitals flanking the dial.

The trunk of the case then has a lovely shaped door. The clock is raised on a shaped plinth. The dial is arched and is set out in Roman numerals with a subsidiary second dial. The arch has a painting of a church with a painted and gilded frame. Each corner then has a lovely painted and gilded flowers.

Finally the dial is finished by two lovely shaped hands. There are no weights, no pendulum or winding key. It measures approximately: 84 1/4 inches / 214 cm high x 19 3/4 inches / 50 cm wide across the hood, 214 cm high x 14 inches / 35.5 cm wide across the trunk, 214 cm high x 19 1/4 inches / 49 cm wide across the base x 9 1/2 inches / 24 cm deep.
