Antique Oak Grandfather/ Longcase Clock By Robert Hampfon Warrington. This lovely antique grandfather clock has an oak case with a lovely moulding to the top. It this has two columns flanking the dial as well as a further moulding to the bottom of the hood.
The trunk of the case then has a lovely shaped door to the front as well as a lovely brass handle and escutcheon. Finally there is another moulding leading to the base which has a shaped panel in the front as well as a shaped moulding to the bottom. The dial is then brass with a silvered chapter ring set out in Roman numerals with every five minutes marked in Arabic numerals. The Center of the dial is then brass and engraved with a silver makers plaque reading "Robt Hampfon WARRINTON" as well as a silvered date wheel. Each corner then has a lovely shaped spandrel.
Finally the dial is finished by two lovely shaped hands as well as a protective glass set into the hood door. The movement is 30 hour and is currently ticking away although will need setting up correctly to get it to run. 79 / 200.5cm Tall. 21 / 53.25cm Wide. 11.5 / 29.25cm Deep.
