Antique oak /mahogany George III longcase Clock 8 day poynor leicester

An 18th Century mahogany Longcase Clock by Jonah Poynor&Son recorded as working in Leicester between 1830 to 1840 he then moved the family to America and became a preacher. His son later became a clockmaker in America Antique oak & mahogany George III painted dial 13 inch dial with second hand and date fully restored dial.

Movement is a 8 day rack striking on the hour by a bell. Overall good condition few marks to the case. Full strike on the hour.

Height 95 inches depth 9 inches width 21 inches. Comes complete with a pendulum & 2 weights plus the winding key. The case door has a lock and key fully working. Original back board no woodworm.
