A lovely Rocking Swan Mahogany Longcase / Grandfather clock with of lovely grand proportions measuring just over 7 ft 7 inches high. The case is in good condition for the age as can be seen from the photographs.

It is super quality and a good heavy clock. The dial is signed J.

The dial has lovely ladies depicting the four season to the corners. Also to the arch is the rocking Swan which when ticking away rocks back and forth.

Hughes & Co CARNARVON' listed in'WALES Clocks & Clockmakers by William Linnard. The movement is 8 day and is nice and clean as can be seen from the photographs and there is a rocking Swan mechanism.

The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are: 91 1/2 inches / 232.5 cm high, 27 1/4 inches / 69.5 cm wide across hood, 22 inches / 56 cm wide across trunk, 26 3/4 inches / 68 cm wide across base x 10 inches / 25.5 cm deep. CONDITION: Overall a lovely clock which has a rare rocking swan to the arch. The case is in nice condition just knocks and marks commensurate with age and use, also the return to the left foot is lacking, which has been photographed and there is no glass to the hood door.
