With a shaped mahogany door to the centre of the case with a shell design on the front. With a figured mahogany base raised on bracket feet.
The movement has a fantastic painted arched dial incorporating a moon roller and two subsidiary dials, original hands. Unfortunately the original pendulum and keys are not present, and one of the weights is inside a old beer can.Unknown if the mechanism is in working order, but there is a roller missing that seems to have broken the cording. The wooden baseboard holds the clock face in place.
The top of the clock shows 2 metal moulded floral finishings, with Inlaid surrounding the clock front. The top smoothly sits on the clock shaft. A tremendous example with very desirable proportions, in wonderful original condition.
However, there are signs of historical woodworm that has been professionally treated by the previous owner. There is also a slight breakage to the back corner, but doesn't effect the functionality of this clock. Furthermore the back has a wooden connection bar.
