Grandfather/longcase iron clock dial. Late 18th/ early19th century. Original

This is a very early hand painted iron dial and comes from an 18th century longcase/grandfather clock. This is a lovely large piece.

There is only modest deterioration to the finish, some small knocks and some wear. Overall the decorative paintwork is in very good order with the details being very well preserved. The hands are in good condition. 35 x 36cm x 4cm. Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months.
