Long Case Clock 8 Day Victorian. Possibly made by Quaker's as there is no makers name because of their belief in simplicity and humility and their rejection of any kind of pomp or vanity. Quaker Clocks are distinguished by the simplicity of their design and quality of their craftsmanship. In this instance the design is simple but of good quality with a very good 8 day movement.

The pinions do not show heavy wear, so good materials used. The clock had not been messed about! It is in original condition and so servicing / repairing should be a joy!

Ticks and strikes when barrel is pushed.. Guts have been cut as pulleys are missing. Weights do not match in shape. Case is of mahogany and in good condition.
