Oak 8 day Longcase Clock. An early painted dial clock in good condition.

I can't see a name on the dial but the invoice attached to the door says Thomas Gilbert of Rugeley Staff's. I presume that at the time of the repair the name was legible, will possibly show under ultra violet light. The case is in very good condition, sound and stable, the long trunk door has an attractive shaped top, is fitted with good brass hinges, and a working lock & key. The case is sturdy and sound, no work required.

Comes with good steel hands, bell, weights, and pendulum. Width trunk: 13.5 inches. Width base: 17.5 inches. Dial: 12 x 17 inches. Please study photographs and satisfy yourself as to condition and suitability.
