Luke Wise Long Case Grandfather Clock Early 18th Century

Early 18th century longcase clock by Luke Wise of Reading. 8 day movement striking on a brass bell. Superb early 18th century longcase clock by renowned clockmaker "Luke Wise" from Reading. Eight day movement striking on a bell. Brass dial with silvered chapter ring and with cast brass gilt spandrels.

Supplementary dial for seconds and calendar aperture for date. Early Georgian longcase clock by Luke Wise who was a member of the "Clockmakers Company". The clock has been in the family for decades and has been cared for and services as far back as I can remember.

It's in full working condition, all the chimes work as does the date display, second hand etc. Regularly wound and used, doesn't keep bad time.
