This is an antique Grandfather clock 8 Day movement by. With a large painted Four Seasons dial and a historic scene on top - Mary, Queen of Scots Escaping from Lochleven Castle. It was a daring escape that happened on 2nd of May 1568. The scene is inspired from an 1805 painting by William Craig Shirreff exhibited at the National Galleries of Scotland (the 3rd photo).Size of the dial is 14/20inches (36/51cm), size of the movement 13/16cm. I have a pendulum that came with this clock, missing the suspension - don't know if original, not tested. It is in very dusty & uncleaned condition, complete apart from the missing seconds hand. Please look closely at the photos, on some areas of the dial the colours have peeled off. Luckily all the faces of the characters are undamaged. The next owner can decide the restoration path or leave it as it is. Sorry, no weights, and no case in this sale!! Photo is for reference - presents the dial in its the 221cm tall case. If you want the case, we have to agree on a price for it and you would need to collect it from Warwick. Please study the photos and ask me any questions, I will do my best to answer quickly.
