There is a moon dial aperture with delightful hand painted moon face and rural scenes rotating. This has a working four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack and strikes a lovely tone on a bell on the hour every hour. The clock has attractive proportions and a good colour and patina to the oak.
The classical hand painted teal blue and gilded frieze around the caddy pediment is a very nice unusual detail, with a central urn, swags scrolls and birds featured. The clock measures 215 cms high by 52 cms wide by 25 cms deep. You are most welcome to call and collect from.Open Saturday 11am till 4pm or by appointment.
