Exceptional quality 19th century regulator tavern wall clock with a beautiful age patina and colour to the flame mahogany case. Original full length door to the trunk with a working lock and key.

The case has a classic tavern clock simple design with fantastic proportions with circular surround to top with reeded decoration and a cushion caddy bottom. This clock displays beautifully on the wall and the colour and patina to the flame mahogany is second to none. 12 original diameter painted dial. Roman numerals with original hands with a beautifully 2 tone counter balanced minute hand with a subsidary seconds dial to centre. Painted dial is in excellent original condition protected by the glazed door with maker to the centre J Jordan of Manchester???

Top quality 19th century 8 day duration bell strike regulator movement with deadbeat escapement with narrow great wheels typical of a genuine tavern wall clock. The movement has a deadbeat escapement so very accurate and strikes the bell the number of hours on the hour. Comes supplied with its original Pendulum, 2 weights and a new winding key.

Movement is in full working order keeping good time and striking exactly how it should as can be seen in the video above. The clock in total measures 52 inches high x 18 inches wide x 6.5 inches deep????

No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand.
