Rare Scottish longcase grandfather clock In Good Working Order
A Fine Quality Scottish Georgian Mahogany Longcase Clock With Unusual provenance, circa 1770 a good quality red mahogany case the hood in the Chippendale style with a good 8 day movement striking the hours on a cast bell, all in good working order, together with a lovely circular silvered dial with a seconds dial and calendar facility fitted, with Willian Taylor Dumfries engraved in the dial, the clock is a very nice size and proportions with nice bits of inlay Complete with 2 weights a quality pendulum and winding crank key. All in all a lovely period Longcase clock which would grace any home. Size height 85 inches and width 18 inches all in perfect working condition.
