Solid Mahogany 8 day Grandfather longcase clock with solid brass face

Antique solid Mahogany Grandfather longcase clock with solid brass face. It is in exceptionally good condition and polishes to a nice shine.

There is no woodworm in the case which stands at 79 inches tall, 17 inches wide and 9 inches deep. The face itself is solid brass with four brass spandrels to each corner. The clock is unique in that it does not chime, this may be an advantage should the clock be used in a lounge or bedroom where silence is preferred. There are small glass inspection windows to the hood either side whereby you can see the eight day movement working, the front door of the clock has a brass swing latch which keeps the door closed.

The top hood is removable and the clock should fit inside a car with the seats down for transport. Clock is collection only and it can be viewed in the SO19 2PS area.
