Beautiful figured mahogany longcase clock which has a removable flat top hood with carved pediment, a classic Scottish longcase design The trunk door has a curved front design and has its working lock and key The mahogany case is in excellent condition with a beautiful age patina to it The clock has a hand painted 20" x 14" dial which is signed by the maker Breckenridge & Son of Kilmarnock The dial is in great condition with the hand painted decoration of figures to each corner and to the top, it is reference to the song Come under my plaidie It has a Scottish 8 day bell striking weight driven movement which comes with its pendulum and weights Movement is in full working order keeping good time and striking the hours as it should?? The mahogany case is in excellent condition with a beautiful age patina to it.The clock has a hand painted arched 20" x 14" dial which is signed by the maker'Breckenridge & Son of Kilmarnock, the dial has a seconds and calendar sub dials. The dial is in excellent amazing condition with the hand painted decoration of figures to each corner and to the top, it is reference to the song "Come under my plaidie". It has a Scottish 8 day bell striking weight driven movement which has a anchor escapement and comes with its pendulum and weights. The movement strikes the bell the amount of hours on the hour. Movement is in full working order keeping good time and striking as it should as you can see in the video above.
The clock measures 92.5 inches high x 23 inches wide x 11 inches deep. The trunk measures 15 inches wide x 7.5 inches deep.
